Illite clay has a composition close to montmorillonite clay. The layered sheet mineral structure gives it a slightly different absorption and adsorption behavior. It is mainly used for its power to absorb impurities and waste.
It is a very versatile clay that can be mixed directly with water to make a poultice or used as an ingredient in formulas for masks, creams, shampoos and soaps. It allows cosmetic formulas to be enriched with all the energy and vitality of its trace elements.
